Job summary

ProAmpac in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Plant Engineer to join our manufacturing operation. You’ll work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to boost productivity, reduce costs, and implement capital equipment projects on the plant floor.

This hands-on role requires root-cause problem solving, process improvement, and collaboration to design practical, reliable solutions that enhance safety and performance in a real production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering or technical roles.
• Experience with equipment, processes, capital projects, or plant initiatives.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Own site preparation and readiness for new capital equipment and deployments.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and transition to steady-state production.
• Assist with capital/expense projects, keeping work on schedule and budget.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues using data and root-cause analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, flow, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering on improvements.
• Develop reports, technical docs, presentations, and training materials.
• Ensure safety, quality, productivity, and reliability in improvements.
