Shell is seeking a Plant Engineer to join the Congo, West Virginia Lubricant Oil Blending Plant Operations team. You will troubleshoot, support root cause analyses, and lead project execution from permitting to commissioning while collaborating with asset production and maintenance teams.

Required: a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Controls, or Electrical Engineering and 3+ years in related industries. Strong safety and problem-solving skills are essential, with experience in capital projects a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Controls, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in lubricants, petrochemical, oil & gas, or related industry.
  • Experience running capital projects is a plus.
  • Experience supporting maintenance activities such as Turnarounds is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, investigations, continuous improvement, and Root Cause Analysis track record.

Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver GOAL ZERO: Personal and Process Safety.
  • Lead/support capital projects and manage project execution activities.
  • Provide on-site contractor management and safety oversight.
  • Develop and implement proactive technical monitoring plans and asset integrity initiatives.

Working knowledge of all Asset Management SystemsKnowledge of API, ASME, ISO, DEP standards for design, fabrication, repair, maintenance and inspection standardsExperience in tank asset management including API 653 inspection methodology is a plusKnowledge level experience with Management of ChangeKnowledge level experience with a stage-gate / phased delivery process preferable for capital projectsExperience in development / improvement of a work process and ways of workingWhat we offerThe base salary range for this position is $103,000 - $155,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
