Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Nashville, TN, seeks a Director (M5) overseeing multiple specializations, responsible for shaping long-term strategy and influencing executive leadership across domestic regions.

The role requires strong communication and cross-functional leadership to drive strategic initiatives. The position leads several teams, guides continuous improvement, and ensures key business results while coaching managers and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience including 7+ years leadership.
• Or Master’s degree; 8+ years of relevant experience including 5-7 years leadership.

• Develops and ensures adoption and execution of long-term functional strategy and direction of the department.
• Oversees continuous improvement/automation through multiple teams led by senior managers and managers.
• Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures achievement of key business results/strategy.

• Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation with stakeholders.
• Influences, coaches, and develops direct reports/department.

Position Summary

The Multiple Engineering Specializations position has responsibility for more than one Specialization within their group. The Director (M5) position is typically accountable for a function encompassing multiple domestic regions, or a key operational sub-department for an entire country. This position requires the ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and the ability to communicate and influence executive leadership on a regular basis.
