Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking an Electrician to support our Festus, Missouri plant. The role focuses on electrical maintenance of plant equipment and processes, ensuring safe, reliable operation and timely repairs to minimize downtime.

Essential duties include following electrical safety rules, using a CMMS to locate parts and submit requests, reading blueprints, troubleshooting motors and drives, and supporting power distribution. Strong PLC experience is valued.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of technical or vocational training in electrical field preferred.
  • Two years of heavy industrial experience required.
  • Must speak/read/write/understand English.
  • Ability to work independently and outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

  • Follow electrical, mechanical and plant safety rules.
  • Use CMMS to input work requests and locate parts.
  • Operate plant equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot motors, transformers, electrical drives, starters and breakers.
  • Read blueprints and electrical schematics; use proper tools and measuring devices.
  • Familiar with PLCs and PC programs; work with instrumentation and circuits.
  • Perform routine maintenance and respond to plant needs as directed.
  • Be flexible with hours including holidays and overtime as required.
