Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support a short-term plant project in Ashland, VA. The role focuses on electrical installation and connections in an active industrial environment while coordinating with other trades.

You’ll install conduits and wiring, review layouts, and work to project schedules. This 4-week assignment has a starting pay of $28.00/hour with higher rates for experience, and there is potential to transition to Contract-to-Hire for qualified

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical installation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and layouts.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work safely in an active plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, run, and terminate industrial electrical wiring and conduit
• Install electrical components and equipment throughout an operating plant
• Connect electrical systems while coordinating work around pipefitting crews and process piping installation
• Review electrical drawings, layouts, and work instructions to determine proper equipment placement and wiring routes
• Install conduit, supports, cable, junction boxes, disconnects, and other electrical components
• Use appropriate hand and power tools for electrical installation work
• Coordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts and maintain project progress
• Follow established safety procedures when working around active plant operations
• Complete assigned electrical installation tasks according to project schedules
