Job summary

TekPro Engineering in Itasca, IL seeks a Plant Electrical Reliability Technician to diagnose faults quickly and keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. This direct-hire, 1st shift role offers hands-on maintenance across industrial electrical systems in a stable manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot 480V/3-phase power, motors, relays, sensors, and controls, read schematics, and work with diagnostic tools. PLC troubleshooting is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical systems.
• Comfort with 480V/3-phase power and plant electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment documentation.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Restore uptime by diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on production equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and facility electrical systems.
• Support drives and control hardware, including VFDs, relays, sensors, and controllers.
• Assist with installs, wiring, upgrades, and machine modifications.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (programming not required).
