Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking an EHS Specialist to lead and support environmental, health, and safety programs at our Houston area facility. You will collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to drive risk reduction, incident prevention, and continuous improvement through active plant-floor engagement.

The role emphasizes hazard assessment, investigations, training delivery, and regulatory recordkeeping to sustain safety leadership and site performance.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; EHS degree preferred.
• 2+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA requirements and incident investigation.
• Strong communication, coaching, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day EHS support to promote safe, compliant work practices.
• Support safety, environmental, risk reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead hazard identifications, near-miss reporting, and safety walks.
• Coordinate EHS training, safety huddles, and employee communications.
• Monitor EHS metrics, leading indicators, and incident trends.
