Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Plant Cost Accountant for our Illinois manufacturing facility. The role leads onsite finance activities, focusing on cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and budgeting. You’ll partner with plant leadership to improve cost visibility and drive data-driven decisions.

This hands-on position requires strong reconciliations, ERP costing knowledge, and the ability to translate plant performance into actionable insights for operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant month-end close activities and ensure production transactions are recorded accurately.
• Prepare monthly plant financial reporting packages with variances and management commentary.
• Own plant cost accounting processes including standard costing and product costing.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to identify profitability opportunities.
• Lead inventory accounting, valuations, and reconciliations to the general ledger.
• Develop dashboards and scorecards covering cost performance and efficiency.
