  • Environment & Company Profile: High-visibility Subject Matter Expert (SME) seat with a rapidly growing, market-leading manufacturing innovator in the Brown Deer area; celebrated for an employee-centric culture, long team tenure, and zero corporate bureaucracy.

  • Troubleshoot PLC & Control Systems: Monitor live code, execute online diagnostic checks, and optimize control logic on Allen-Bradley (RSLogix/Studio 5000) and Siemens (TIA Portal) PLC platforms.
  • Trace Complex Schematics: Read and interpret multi-page electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and fluid power system prints to isolate intermittent control loop issues and high-level faults.

  • Execute Fabrication & Repair: Utilize practical welding and custom fabrication skills to modify machine frameworks, reinforce heavy assemblies, and repair critical equipment on-site.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Partner with plant leadership to drive down operational downtime while coaching and mentoring junior maintenance technicians.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)
  • Industrial Maintenance Depth: 8+ years of industrial maintenance and automation experience within high-volume, continuous-production manufacturing environments.
  • Control Systems Mastery: Hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial robotics, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and live PLC logic.
  • Schematic & Blueprint Literacy: Expert capability reading intricate electrical, electronic control, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Practical Fabrication Skills: Demonstrated welding and custom shop fabrication capabilities for heavy industrial machinery repair and structural modifications.
  • Location & Authorization: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder residing within a comfortable daily commuting distance of the Brown Deer / Northern Milwaukee County, WI area.
Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)
  • Formal Education & Certifications: Associate degree in Automated Manufacturing, Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent technical certifications.
  • Advanced Robotics Exposure: Direct programming or troubleshooting experience on FANUC, ABB, or Yaskawa robotic arms.
  • Continuous Improvement Focus: Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and preventative maintenance optimization.
