Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Administration in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in accounting.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • SAP software experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost control.
  • Must comply with local, state, federal and corporate food safety regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide management with direct support by developing and interpreting financial information
  • Participate in current- and long-term decision-making and provide guidance on accounting policies and procedures
  • Direct and control the plant administrative office
  • Ensure accuracy of plant financial records under corporate policies and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Direct preparation, maintenance and control of manufacturing, warehousing, inventory, cost accounting, fixed asset and financial records
  • Provide financial leadership and oversight across assigned facilities and distribution operations
  • Lead, coach and develop finance managers and accounting personnel
  • Ensure consistent accounting policies, internal controls and reporting practices across locations
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics and Warehouse Operations to analyze inventory, warehousing costs, productivity, transportation impacts and network optimization
  • Provide timely financial and operating information, including cost variance reporting, forecasting and capital expenditure review
  • Participate in plant objectives, plans, programs and budgets
  • Direct annual operating plans and financial forecasts
  • Monitor performance against plan and budgeted expenditures
  • Direct monthly, quarterly and fiscal-year financial closing in compliance with corporate and SOX guidelines
  • Monitor and control the plant balance sheet
  • Oversee inventory records and minimize carrying costs
  • Maintain internal controls, safeguard plant assets and ensure segregation of duties
  • Partner with Enterprise Systems, IT and Shared Services on ERP, reporting and financial systems
  • Support process improvements and system enhancements
  • Support plant procurement activities
  • Direct raw product accounting functions and grower payments where applicable
  • Supervise, train and develop administrative staff
  • Identify and develop succession candidates
  • Perform salary administration, hiring and performance management activities
  • Prepare or assist with special financial impact studies
  • Provide accounting and finance support to the Plant Manager
  • Develop, review and enforce product safety policies

Requirements
