Job summary

Harmer Associates, partnering with a leading manufacturing company, seeks a Plant Controller in Morristown, Tennessee. This onsite role oversees the integrity of plant financials, financial reporting, and budgeting processes while collaborating closely with the Plant Manager.

The ideal candidate will bring about 10 years in finance within manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a Controller/Manager capacity, strong Excel skills, standard costing and inventory management experience, and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• ~10 years in finance/accounting in manufacturing; 5+ years as Controller/Manager.
• Knowledge of standard costing and inventory management.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience (Oracle strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure integrity of plant financials and financial reporting.
• Perform variance analysis and budgeting/forecasting.
• Conduct cost and performance analysis.
• Oversee inventory accounting and controls.
• Maintain IFRS and SOX-compliant accounting.
• Ensure policy adherence and process improvements.

Harmer Associates has partnered with a thriving manufacturing company seeking to hire for position of Plant Controller.

• Location: Morristown, Tennessee (open to relocation)
• Work Model: Onsite

Role responsible for integrity of plant financials, financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, cost and performance analysis, management of inventory accounting, and proper accounting in accordance with IFRS, SOX compliance, and company policy.

Individual must be comfortable getting out from behind a desk and leading, with emphasis on collaboration and active participation with the Plant Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA or CMA preferred
• ~10 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting within manufacturing, with minimum 5 years as Controller/Manager
• Knowledge of standard costing practice and inventory management
• Strong Excel and experience in ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred)
