Job summary

Confidential Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Plant Controller to act as a strategic finance partner to the General Manager, lead a small team, and own the plant's accounting and financial operations.

The role requires a hands-on manufacturing finance leader who can strengthen processes, ensure accountability, and guide the facility through growth, transformation, and investment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Two or more years of direct people leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience with inventory controls and month-end close.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Strong manufacturing and cost accounting background.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance partner to the General Manager and plant leaders.
• Lead plant accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory controls, count reconciliations, and SKU management.
• Lead and develop the plant accounting team.
• Support systems and finance transformation initiatives.
• Analyze plant performance, expenses, earnings, cash flow, and capital expenditures.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement.
• Partner with internal and external audit.
• Ensure accounting procedures and internal controls are followed.
