Job summary

Napakiak Environmental and Construction (NEC) seeks a Civil Design Engineer to develop detailed civil design packages for plant facilities and infrastructure. You will provide engineering procurement support and field technical assistance during construction, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and best practices.

You will collaborate in integrated project teams and may serve as technical lead for multidisciplinary tasks, requiring strong communication and the ability to interface

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in civil engineering principles, codes, and consensus design standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to perform regular walkdowns in plant facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete, high-quality civil design packages for plant facilities and infrastructure.
• Provide engineering procurement support, including material specifications and technical evaluations.
• Deliver field technical support during construction, installation, and implementation of civil designs.
• Apply engineering standards, codes, and best practices to solve complex civil problems.
• Coordinate with external engineering firms on stormwater, drainage, and road design projects.
• Perform routine walkdowns to gather data and generate design documentation.
• Support field teams during installation and construction activities.
• Lead multidisciplinary tasks within integrated project teams.
