Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Plant Care Technician to visit various customer sites in Allentown, providing expert plant care and maintenance for interior and exterior displays. Job description

• Visit various customer sites each day to provide plant care


• Groom, rotate, water, prune, trim, and fertilize plants as needed


• Remove debris from planters and gauge soil moisture with a soil probe


• Prevent water or moisture damage to floors, walls, carpet, furniture, and surrounding areas


• Apply appropriate amounts of water based on lighting conditions and plant requirements


• Keep plants and display containers clean and free of dust and debris


• Keep plants free from diseases and insects


• Maintain the appearance of top dressing and ornamental elements


• Recognize and communicate additional Ambius product needs


• Assist with interior and exterior container gardens, wall-mounted systems, and commercial plantscape installations


• Assist with holiday decoration installations and seasonal removal


• Maintain scenting and air purification equipment as necessary


• Communicate and solve problems while serving customers

Requirements

• Experience caring for plants preferred


• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


• Valid driver's license from state of residence


• Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed


• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills


• Basic math skills and ability to follow product-label mixing instructions


• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations


• Customer-facing experience preferred


• Ability to safely climb and work on ladders


• Experience using pruners, scissors, and other sharp objects


• Ability to regularly drive a service van/truck in urban and rural settings
