Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking an Accounting Clerk III to help keep plant operations financially accurate. You will prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reporting and support the monthly close with journal entries and reconciliations.

You will work closely with plant management and the Harvest Plant Accounting team to analyze data, verify costs, and ensure reports reflect integrity. This role suits detail-oriented analysts who can manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting or business.
• 1-2 years of work experience, or total experience equal to 5 years without degree.
• Strong reading, communication, math, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, Kronos, and other office software.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly plant reporting and cost estimates.
• Prepare accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for monthly close.
• Analyze packaging, ingredients, and purchases greater than $5,000 for capitalization.
• Assist Operations with clearing GRIR and blocked invoices.
• Support the Plant Accounting Manager with special requests and data analysis.
