Job summary

Parker Hannifin’s Parker Chomerics facility in Massachusetts is seeking a Plant Accountant to drive financial performance through meticulous cost tracking, payroll and budgeting oversight, forecasting, and strict variance analysis. This role emphasizes compliance and strong internal controls while enabling cross‑functional collaboration.

You will partner with plant management to deliver actionable financial insights, support monthly close, examine capital expenditures, and assist audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting required.
• MBA, CPA, CMA, CPIM, or CIA desirable.
• 2-4 years of financial/operational experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cost Tracking and Analysis: Monitor and analyze production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to ensure accurate cost accounting and budget adherence.
• Month‑Close Procedures: Finalize financial data, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial statements to ensure accurate reporting of division’s financial position at the end of each month.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accounting, including valuation methods (e.g., FIFO) and reconciliation of physical inventory with accounting records.
• Capital Expenditure Tracking: Manage and analyze capital expenditures, ensuring proper accounting treatment and compliance with financial policies.
• Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgeted figures, providing insights into operational efficiency and areas for improvement.
• Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with plant management and production teams to understand operational processes and provide financial insights that support decision‑making.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records related to plant operations.

• Pay Range: $84915 to $141320 annually
• Participation in Annual Incentive Program
