Job summary

Pilkington North America Inc. is seeking a finance professional to oversee the monthly close for the Versailles automotive glass facility. You will deliver value-added financial and operational reports, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive performance.

You will lead budgeting, standard costing updates, and cost-reduction initiatives while ensuring policy compliance and strong internal controls across the plant and adjacent functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, cost absorption, and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial close for the Versailles operation and prepare value-added financial and operational reports.
• Provide cost/financial analysis to improve performance and act as a value-added resource.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
• Serve as local AP contact and coordinate with corporate AP.
• Produce daily and weekly KPI and internal reporting.
• Assist in developing the annual budget for Versailles operation.
• Perform annual standard cost changes for Versailles operation.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and track opportunities.
• Perform financial analysis for special projects as required.
• Ensure compliance with local, corporate, and statutory regulations and internal controls.
• Adhere to NSG/Pilkington standards and safety behaviors.

Job description

• Responsible for the monthly financial close for the Versailles operation and preparing value-added financial and operational reports.
• Provide cost/financial analysis as required, improving the operation’s performance, being a value-added resource.
• Perform required balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
• Be local contact person to manage all AP related questions working closely with corporate AP.
• Produce daily and weekly KPI and other internal reporting.
• Assist in developing the annual budget for the Versailles operation.
• Perform annual Standard Cost changes for the Versailles operation.
• Assist in leading the cost reduction effort for the Versailles operation including identifying/implementing/tracking cost reduction opportunities.
• Perform financial analysis for special projects as required.
• Adhere to/enforce local, corporate, and statutory regulations regarding proper accounting policies and procedures and financial controls.
• Adherence to the NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its’ Values and Principles.

Scope/Dimensions:

• Works cross-functionally with Plant Management, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Corporate Finance to support business objectives and special projects.
• Responsible for accounting and financial reporting support for the Versailles automotive glass manufacturing facility, including monthly close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, standard costing, budgeting, and operational financial analysis.
• Supports plant leadership in monitoring financial performance and key business metrics by providing daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reporting and value-added analysis to drive cost reduction and operational improvements.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, cost absorption, and GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Customer-focused mindset with a desire to learn the business and contribute beyond the numbers.

Preferred:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive manufacturing.
• Experience supporting plant operations through financial analysis and cost management initiatives.
