Job description

Planning Solutions Engineer SwiftBuild.ai | Remote (U.S.) | Full-time | Some travel required

Swiftbuild.ai is an AI-first regulatory and compliance technology company helping local governments modernize planning and permitting. Our government platform, SwiftGov, delivers faster approvals for applicants and better outcomes for communities, advancing the mission of affordable housing and world-class govtech modernization for local community services.

SwiftGov is live in Florida jurisdictions and has been recognized with a national award for innovation and best practices in government services. We're remote-first, customer-centric, and growing fast.

THE ROLE

You understand how planning departments actually operate and can turn that knowledge into successful AI-powered deployments. You'll be a key part of our team, working directly with government clients and shaping how our platform meets real-world needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Work directly with government permit review teams to understand workflows, pain points, and success metrics
  • Translate local processes, policies, and code requirements into deployment plans
  • Partner with our technical team to configure, validate, and launch implementations
  • Train end users and drive adoption of new workflows
  • Create customer-facing materials that support onboarding and long-term success
  • Join sales calls and demos as a domain expert who builds trust
  • Support proposals with domain expertise
  • Help quantify ROI and develop customer stories for public-sector leaders
  • Share structured feedback from the field to help prioritize development
  • Pressure-test new capabilities with real users before broader release
WHO YOU ARE
  • 2-8 years in government planning/permitting, planning consulting, real estate entitlements, or land use law
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including reading comprehension. You parse dense regulatory language with precision and turn ambiguity into clarity.
  • High agency. You take initiative, solve problems resourcefully, and drive results with minimal direction.
  • You embrace doing hard things. Early-stage company, complex problems, mission that matters, and you're energized by that challenge.
  • Genuinely curious about AI tools and how they improve government operations
  • Customer-facing confidence: you facilitate groups, handle objections, and build trust
  • Experience in customer service and a genuine enjoyment of interacting with people in professional environments
Nice-to-haves

Graduate degree (MUP, MURP, JD, or related field), AICP certification, deep familiarity with zoning/land development codes, experience in software sales or implementation, public-sector procurement experience.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Health coverage
  • Remote-first, flexible PTO, paid travel for customer work
