Eagle Mountain City is seeking a seasoned planning professional to lead the Current Planning Division, supervise planners, and coordinate development reviews. The role involves preparing staff reports, advising on zoning and land-use issues, and ensuring compliance with city ordinances.

The position emphasizes public engagement, interdepartmental coordination, and ongoing policy development to support growth and sustainable community planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration or related field.
• Master's degree in city planning, public administration or related field preferred.
• Six years of progressively responsible planning experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees current planning reviews and coordinates development applications.
• Provides zoning, land-use and code information to developers and the public.
• Prepares written reports responding to zoning requests and ordinance changes.
• Acts as staff to the Development Review Committee, Planning Commission, and City Council.
• Facilitates citizen participation and public meetings.
• Assists in GIS use, map generation, and GIS program recommendations.
• Updates and drafts land-use ordinances and related codes.
• Represents the City in regional committees and public presentations.
