We are looking for a construction planning professional who brings more than traditional scheduling experience. The ideal individual will have expert-level Primavera P6 capabilities, a strong understanding of construction execution, and the leadership skills to influence General Contractors and EPC partners to keep complex projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and schedule performance activities for a large-scale hyperscale data center construction project.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee Level 1 and Level 2 owner-level master schedules.
- Provide expert Primavera P6 scheduling support, including baseline development, critical path analysis, schedule forecasting, and recovery planning.
- Work closely with General Contractors and EPC partners to review construction schedules, identify execution constraints, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive construction execution planning by coordinating schedule priorities, construction sequencing, resource requirements, and key project milestones.
- Review contractor schedule updates to evaluate progress, schedule quality, potential delays, and emerging project risks.
- Challenge schedule assumptions and influence contractor teams to implement effective mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with project controls teams to align schedule performance with cost forecasts, cash flow, and earned value reporting.
- Translate detailed construction schedules into concise owner-level reporting, schedule narratives, and executive presentations.
- Establish and maintain scheduling standards, quality control processes, and schedule governance practices.
- Communicate complex project issues, risks, and recommendations clearly to project leadership and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in construction planning, scheduling, or project controls on large-scale construction or EPC projects.
- Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6, including integrated master scheduling, critical path analysis, baseline management, and schedule recovery.
- Demonstrated experience driving construction execution planning, rather than solely maintaining or updating schedules.
- Proven ability to work with and influence General Contractors, EPC partners, and multidisciplinary construction teams.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, resource planning, progress measurement, and schedule risk mitigation.
- Experience reviewing contractor schedules and developing actionable corrective strategies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex scheduling information into clear recommendations for senior project leadership.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% to De Soto, Kansas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting hyperscale data center or mission-critical construction projects.
- Experience working on the owner or owner's representative side of major capital projects.
- Background in large-scale industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or power construction.
- Experience developing Level 1 and Level 2 management schedules.
- Familiarity with earned value management, schedule quality assessments, and cost/schedule integration.
- Experience coordinating complex construction, MEP installation, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
