Job summary

EPCOR is seeking a Planning Engineer in Glendale, AZ to shape the 10-year Capital Improvement Plan for water and wastewater infrastructure. You will work with cross-functional teams, analyze data, and contribute to strategic decisions impacting system reliability and performance.

Requirements include a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree and 5+ years in water/wastewater projects with project management and hydraulic modeling experience. AZ/NM PE license or ADEQ certifications desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including project management, master planning, CIP, or hydraulic modeling.
• Strong technical writing and data analysis skills.
• Familiarity with hydraulic modeling concepts and tools used in water/wastewater system design.
• Knowledge of ADEQ and NMED regulations.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ability to perform calculations and technical analysis for water/wastewater planning.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

What you need to be successful

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including project management, master planning, capital improvement planning, or hydraulic modeling.
• Strong technical writing and data analysis skills.
• Familiarity with hydraulic modeling concepts and tools used in water/wastewater system design.
• Knowledge of ADEQ and NMED regulations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to perform calculations and technical analysis relevant to water and wastewater planning.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Power BI experience is a plus.
• Professional Engineering license in AZ or NM and/or ADEQ Operator Certifications are desirable.
