Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Planning Coordinator in Columbus, NE to coordinate order processing through fabrication, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient material flow. You will interface with scheduling, shipping, maintenance and purchasing to optimize production status.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year in manufacturing, and proficiency with MRP systems (IFS/Oracle Discoverer) and Microsoft Office. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
• Experience with MRP systems (IFS and Oracle Discoverer) is preferred.
• Proficient with Excel/Word/Outlook; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize order processing to support fabrication and shipping.
• Issue shop packets and reports from office to Manufacturing shop area.
• Coordinate machine load reports and communicate potential reschedules or overloads to scheduling.
• Monitor material flow and expediting shipments to meet production timelines.
• Maintain safe, productive work environment and support cross-functional teams.
• Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned by Operations Planner.

We are looking for a highly driven individual that will dispatch and expedite orders through the manufacturing process from the time of ordering materials until it is complete in a safe and efficient manner to aid in the fabrication process of Valmont products.
