Job summary

MCL Construction in Omaha, NE is seeking a Planning and Scheduling Manager to own the master schedule for large-scale commercial projects. You will develop, update, and analyze schedules in Primavera P6 and train project teams to use scheduling standards consistently.

You will partner with superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors to map critical paths, lead Lean and Pull Planning sessions, and align bid and proposal timelines with the master schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Scheduler or Scheduling Engineer in commercial construction.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; MS Project is a plus.
• Strong command of CPM scheduling, sequencing, and cost control.
• Degree or equivalent experience in construction management or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and analyze schedules for large-scale commercial projects using Primavera P6.
• Build and own scheduling standards and train project teams to apply them.
• Partner with superintendents, PMs, and subcontractors to map critical paths and mitigate delays.
• Lead Lean and Pull Planning sessions and align master schedule with pull plan.
• Coordinate with Preconstruction and Marketing to align bid/ proposal schedules.

What You Bring to the Arena

• Develop, update, and analyze schedules in Primavera P6 for large-scale commercial projects.
• Build and own MCL’s scheduling standards and procedures, and train project teams to use them consistently.
• Partner with superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors to map critical paths and get ahead of delays.
• Lead and support Lean and Pull Planning sessions, keeping the master schedule aligned with the pull plan.
• Work with Preconstruction and Marketing to align bid and proposal schedules from day one.
• Monitor progress, advise on change-related delays, and give stakeholders clear, honest updates.

The Skills Behind the Build

• Proven experience as a Scheduler, Scheduling Engineer, or similar role in commercial construction.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; Microsoft Project experience a plus.
• Strong command of CPM scheduling, construction sequencing, and cost control.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• A clear communicator who takes ownership, sweats the details, and leads independently.
