Job summary

Hantz Group, a Michigan-based financial services firm, is seeking a Planning Analyst Intern integrated into the Family Office. You will work with Financial Advisors to support the funding process and learn how licensing and succession planning fit into client strategies.

This role offers hands-on experience in financial planning, taxation, and insurance planning while pursuing required industry licenses and certifications. Flexible hours are available as you complete your degree.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree.
• Interest in pursuing a career in financial services.
• Availability to work 20-25 hours per week.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Effective time management and ability to work independently.
• Detail oriented and strong analytical problem solving skills.
• Ability to complete industry licensing.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between Financial Advisors and Product Providers.
• Daily review of new business for accuracy and compliance; follow up with Providers and Advisors to settle transactions.
• Manage a caseload of communications with Advisors and Providers to support funding of customer accounts.
• Study for and obtain Property & Casualty license.
• Opportunities to grow through acquiring FINRA Securities Licenses.
• Comply with all industry rules and regulations.
• All other tasks as assigned.

As a Planning Analyst Intern, you will be integrated into the Family Office. Working closely with our Financial Advisors will broaden your knowledge about the financial services industry and the important part that Tax Planning and Insurance plays in a client’s overall financial health. Our flexible working hours will allow you to gain valuable hands on experience in the field while obtaining your degree.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work as a Liaison for Financial Advisors and Product Providers
• Daily review of new business, for accuracy and compliance reviews then follow up with Product Providers and Financial Advisors to complete and settle transactions/ business
• Manage a case load of communications including phone calls, and emails from Financial Advisors, and Product Providers to provide critical support in the funding process of customer accounts
• Studying for and obtaining Property & Casualty license
• Opportunities for growth through acquiring FINRA Securities Licenses available
• Comply with all Industry Rules and Regulations
• All other tasks as assigned

Education/Knowledge & Skills:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree
