Cooperative Energy Incorporated is seeking a Planning Analyst I–IV to assist in long-range power cost forecasts, load forecasting, and resource planning for CEI Members. You will work with the VP of Member Power Supply Services to analyze market data, develop models, and support strategic decisions.
Placement within Levels I–IV depends on experience, technical skill, leadership, and impact. The role includes responsibilities from forecasting to procurement analysis and reporting for stakeholders.

As a Planning Analyst I-IV, you'll play an important role in helping our organization provide reliable, cost-effective wholesale power to our Member Cooperatives. Working closely with the Vice President of Member Power Supply Services, you'll contribute to long-term resource planning, Member load forecasting, power cost modeling, scenario analysis, budgeting, reporting, resource evaluation, and strategic decision-making. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping shape future power supply strategies and supporting informed business decisions. Placement within Levels I-IV is based on your experience, technical expertise, ability to work independently, leadership contributions, and overall impact on the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Level Progression:
Planning Analyst I: Performs planning and analytical assignments with guidance while developing proficiency in load forecasting, power cost modeling, resource planning, reporting, and CEI business operations.
Planning Analyst II: Independently completes complex planning and forecasting assignments, develops analytical solutions, and provides recommendations to management and stakeholders.
Planning Analyst III: Leads major planning studies, forecasting initiatives, and resource evaluations; serves as a subject matter expert and provides guidance to other analysts.
Planning Analyst IV: Serves as CEI's lead planning resource; leads strategic planning initiatives, establishes methodologies and standards, advises leadership, and influences long-term resource decisions.
