Job summary

The County of Riverside's Transportation and Land Management Agency (TLMA) Planning Department has an exciting opportunity for a Planning Division Manager to join the Administration Division.

The Planning Division Manager is an advanced level manager classification and reports to the Planning Director. Under general direction, plans, organizes and coordinates the activities of the Administration Division within the Planning Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, environmental science, public administration, public policy or related field.
• Five years of planning experience with operations, budgeting or regulatory compliance.
• One year supervisory experience; master's may substitute for up to one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the Planning Department's Administration Division, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of administrative support services.
• Administer the division's budget.
• Administer grant funding opportunities, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, reporting obligations, and funding objectives.
• Oversee procurement activities, including the management of departmental assets.
• Prepare and review reports, presentations, contracts, grant applications, and other correspondence.
