Job summary

Leonardo Worldwide Corporation is seeking a Planner/Scheduler in Philadelphia, PA. This position supports Program Managers in managing planning and budgeting in an IPT environment for helicopter production projects.

The ideal candidate should hold a BS degree in Engineering or Business, have experience with Integrated Master Schedules, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Familiarity with MS Project and project management methods is essential.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of project management methods, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong working knowledge with MS Project 2016.

Job Title: Planner/Scheduler

Reports to: Manager, USA Planning and Business Agreements

Direct Reports: 0

Location: LHUSC - Philadelphia

Summary of Position

This position is part of Leonardo Helicopters US Corporation, a US subsidiary of Leonardo Helicopters established in 1980. The Philadelphia site manages the production of AW119 / TH73-A, AW139 / MH-139, development and industrialization of AW609 Tiltrotor, and customer support services across the Americas. The Planner/Scheduler supports the Program Managers in an Integrated Project Team (IPT) environment, managing planning, budgeting, control, monitoring project progress, stakeholder coordination, and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Support and facilitate the yearly budget process, collecting information from the IPT and validating data with the PMs. (15%)
  2. Create, manage, review, and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for standard programs, enabling logical links with Function Plans. (20%)
  3. Participate in weekly meetings, collect inputs from PMs to update project plans (milestones progress, completed tasks, issues/delays). (20%)
  4. Update the forecast monthly using the dedicated Company tool. (10%)
  5. Provide data used in monthly reports (plan progress, milestones, forecast). (20%)
  6. Ensure documents and artifacts are maintained and stored appropriately. (5%)
  7. Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned. (10%)
Qualifications for Position
  • A. Education: BS degree in Engineering, Business or related as a minimum.
  • B. Experience and Skills:
    • 2+ years maintaining Integrated Master Schedules preferred; experience in aviation industry a plus.
    • Basic knowledge of project management methods, tools and techniques.
    • Basic understanding of accounting.
    • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.
    • Strong working knowledge/experience with MS Project 2016.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Basic knowledge of SAP and SharePoint environment a plus.
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Knowledge of Italian a plus.
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, initiative, decision‑making, follow‑through.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team, highly motivated and reliable in fast‑paced environment.
  • D. Licensure/Certification: PMP or equivalent Program Management certification is a plus.
