Bechtel Global Corporation seeks a Project Scheduler for the Lake Charles LNG project. You will develop, maintain, and monitor schedules to optimize critical activities and meet milestones on a large-scale energy facility.

You will work within Bechtel's Office/Project environment, coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure accurate progress reporting and timely completions. The role demands field awareness and strong analytical skills to drive project deadlines.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent with 2–5 years of relevant experience, or 6–9 years in the field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with engineering, construction management, procurement and scheduling practices.

Project Overview:

Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

Job Summary:

In this role you will perform analysis, control activities, schedule development, maintenance, reporting, monitoring activities and oversee the upkeep of the detailed project risk register. You will assist in preparing schedule data to present at project meetings. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives. #LI-CS1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contracts
  • Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
  • Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
  • Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
  • Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
  • Assists with reporting progress relative to established milestones for total project or major portions of the project
  • Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
  • Assists with schedule recovery plans
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision.
  • This includes using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design, construction, and procurement practices.
  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in using PC operating systems and several basic software applications.
  • Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used by Bechtel (e.g., Ecosys, Primavera, and Microsoft PowerBi).
  • Additional Information:Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to:extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces.Some lifting may be required.Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
