Job summary

Aquatech International is seeking a full-time Planner to support Progress, Design Build projects and bids from our Houston, TX office. The role requires developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction and subcontractors, and delivering data-driven insights for decision-making.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized with excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills, able to manage projects up to $20M+

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent).
• 1–4 years of relevant experience or 5–8 years of relevant work experience.
• Industry experience including Desalination Plants, Progress Design Build (“PDB”).
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Strong scheduling, risk analysis, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 or equivalent.
• Lead coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams.
• Integrate subcontractor and vendor schedules into the overall project schedule.
• Monitor schedule performance, identify risks and deviations, and provide mitigation plans.
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly schedule reports and analyses to stakeholders.

Aquatech has an immediate need for a fulltime Planner to work either in our Canonsburg, PA office or Houston, TX Office for our current Progress, Design Build projects and current bids. Projects are across the USA Territory an Sweden. Working schedule will be per Office and Job site, it is expected travel to the Job site to time to time if not assigned directly to Job Site. The Planner will report to Project Controls Director Functionally and Operational and will perform the duties described in the job description below.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, excellent time management skills, good communicator, excellent problem solving skills, team oriented, customer service driven. This candidate will also have experience handling projects of $20M or more.

Job Description:

In this role, you will independently develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives. You will provide data-driven insights, identify risks and variances, and support decision-making through proactive schedule analysis and recommendations.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 (or equivalent), including scope definition, logic development, activity sequencing, and durations.
• Lead coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams to ensure schedule alignment with project milestones and execution strategy.
• Integrate subcontractor and vendor schedules into the overall project schedule, ensuring consistency and completeness.
• Monitor schedule performance, productivity, and progress against baseline plans, identifying trends and deviations.
• Perform schedule analysis, including critical path, float analysis, and schedule variance evaluation.
• Conduct schedule impact and what-if analysis to assess potential risks and delays.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery plans to address schedule risks.
• Prepare and maintain short-term lookahead schedules (e.g., 3-week or rolling lookahead) to support execution planning.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly schedule reports, progress updates, and analysis to project stakeholders.
• Ensure schedule quality, logic integrity, and compliance with project controls procedures and standards.
• Participate in and contribute to schedule reviews, providing clear communication of schedule status, risks, and recommendations.

Skill Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in schedule development, maintenance, and analysis across EPC project phases.
• Ability to independently analyze schedule performance and provide actionable recommendations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify risks and trends.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, and startup processes.
• Understanding of schedule integration and interface management across disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present schedule information clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing project needs
