Job summary

System One is seeking a Planner / Scheduler in Corpus Christi, TX for a 6-month contract to plan and schedule maintenance activities and outages. You will align labor, materials and budgets with production goals while coordinating with plant management and engineering teams.

The role requires a technical degree and 4–7 years in power/industrial maintenance planning, plus proficiency with Maximo and outage readiness. Onsite work model with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4–7 years of direct background in power plant or heavy industrial maintenance planning.
• Advanced expertise in Maximo CMMS.
• Strong independent judgment, mechanical/electrical aptitude and outage readiness communication.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Planning & Scheduling: Formulate short- and long-term maintenance routines, upcoming work orders, and major plant outages.
• Resource Management: Align labor hours, material requirements, and operational budgets with production goals.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with plant management, engineering groups, and project managers to streamline workflows.
• Safety & Compliance: Oversee hazard isolations, critical component checks, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field preferred.
• 4 to 7 years of direct background in power plant or heavy industrial maintenance planning.
• Advanced expertise in computerized maintenance management software like Maximo.
• Strong independent judgment, mechanical/electrical aptitude, and effective communication for outage readiness.
