Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Planner for our West Chester, PA facility. The role focuses on production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and on-time delivery within a regulated environment.

You will partner with Supply Chain, Sourcing, and internal teams to achieve SQDC goals and ensure material readiness and labor deployment for the value stream.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/operations or equivalent required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years scheduling or production planning experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Quality Mgmt Systems (ISO9001/AS9100) preferred.
  • MRP experience (Oracle, SAP).
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule production activities to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Coordinate material availability with Supply Chain and flag shortages.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing and internal suppliers for on-time components.
  • Work with Supervisors to align direct labor with the plan.
  • Engage Sales, Customer Service, and Quality to meet customer needs.
  • Manage Kanban for the Value Stream and release components in MRP.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Planner is responsible for production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and on-time delivery for a Value Stream at the West Chester, PA manufacturing facility. This role supports customer commitments by developing achievable build plans, coordinating material and labor readiness, and helping the Value Stream meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) key performance indicators. This position operates in a regulated manufacturing environment where safety standards and PPE must be adhered to. Success in this position requires strong analytical capability, clear communication across functions, and disciplined use of Regal Business System (RBS) tools to improve planning processes and team performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

  • Plan and schedule production activities for Value Stream to determine achievable build dates and meet customer-requested delivery dates.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to confirm material availability for the build-plan, elevate shortages or constraints, and communicate material-related risks affecting production execution.
  • Work closely with our Sourcing Team and internal suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of components and assemblies.
  • Work closely with Supervisors to ensure the deployment of direct labor will enable successful execution of the production plan.
  • Work closely with centralized functions including Sales, Customer Service, Sourcing, New Product Development, Quality, and Shipping to ensure all customer needs are addressed, and Promise Dates are met.
  • Manage our internal and external Kanban system for the Value stream to ensure materials availability to execute the plan.
  • Place releases for Purchased Components in our Material Requirements Planning system.
  • Coordinate line capacity and special machine availability to support internal production priorities and external team requirements as needed.
  • Drive sense of urgency and effective problem-solving to identify root cause and build sustainable countermeasures to meet KPIs.
  • Create a build plan that is visually communicated to team members and is easy to understand.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy within the Value Stream to support the production plan, prevent material shortages, and avoid excess or obsolete material.
  • Utilize the Regal Rexnord Business System methodology to continuously improve our processes; via Daily Management and by facilitating Kaizen events.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Master's in Business Administration preferred
  • 3 years of experience in scheduling or production planning preferred
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience working in a Quality Management System preferred (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100)
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience preferred (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred
