Job summary

Fluke Corporation in Everett, WA is seeking a Production Buyer to coordinate products through the full production cycle. You will develop production and supply plans based on demand forecasts, material availability, and manufacturing capacity, and optimize subassembly and raw material supply in our ERP system.

Collaborate with factory teams, the Strategic Sourcing Team, and the New Product Introduction team to ensure on-time launches, lean inventory, and continuous improvement using Fortive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or similar.
  • Proven track record in tackling complex problems related to inventory control.
  • Must be proficient in Excel.
  • Self-starter who seeks out ways to improve processes before being asked.
  • Ability to be effective in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment.
  • 1-4 years of progressive experience in planning, purchasing, and inventory control within a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and coordinate with factory teams to ensure continuous supply of products, meeting quality and delivery standards.
  • Resolve any vendor line-stopping issues.
  • Driving forward our Lean culture by implementing consignment, Kanban, just-in-time, postponement, and other materials strategies to reduce inventory while maintaining inventory availability.
  • Develop action plans and countermeasures with schedulers, development, and factory teams for inventory control.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Sourcing Team to ensure low-cost regional sourcing, supplier assessment & management.
  • Participate and initiate continuous improvement using appropriate FBS (Fortive Business System) tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the New Product Introduction team to ensure the successful launch of new products from engineering design to production in the factory.
  • May coordinate and supervise the integration of new production cells from one location to another.
  • Establish and maintain standard work and/or consistent training in the materials team.

Description

As a Production Buyer on our Materials team, you will be responsible for the below.

Bonus or Equity

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 58,995.00 - 98,555.00
