Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a production planning professional in the United States to enter sales orders and acknowledge ship dates. The role involves monitoring pricing against quotes and revising schedules to meet changes or revised forecasts.

You will manage customer communications, coordinate with Shipping and Engineering, review forecasts, and resolve parts bottlenecks. This hands-on position requires organization, ERP proficiency, and lean practices.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience required.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enters sales orders and acknowledges ship dates.
• Monitors pricing on incoming orders to ensure they match quotes to avoid short pays.
• Revises schedules and issues work orders to suit order changes, cancellations and/or revised forecasts. Determines revised plan in the event of failures to meet schedules.
• Manages customer relationships by notifying customers in the event of failures to meet expectations, completing customer requests for information, and serving as point of contact for customers.
• Coordinates scheduled shipments with the Shipping Department.
• Reviews and evaluates forecasts.
• Researches late parts, identifies and brings bottlenecks to manufacturing's attention.
• Works closely with engineering to implement engineering changes and monitors structure (bill of material) problems.
• Expedites, as needed, any late deliveries from outside vendors, sub-contract, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
