Job Title: Senior PL/SQL Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PL/SQL Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development to join our team supporting a leading banking client in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and optimizing complex queries, procedures, packages, and database performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions for enterprise banking applications.
Optimize existing database code for performance and scalability.
Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and application developers to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve data and performance issues in production environments.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for all database development work.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development.
Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c/19c, including SQL tuning and optimization.
Experience with large data sets, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Good understanding of banking/financial domain applications and processes.
Familiarity with tools like Toad, SQL Developer, or similar.
Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting is a plus.
Exposure to ETL processes, data migration, or reporting tools is advantageous.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
