General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a PKI Systems Administrator in the Washington, DC area. The role focuses on managing PKI infrastructure, certificates, and related security policies to support critical government missions.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, a TS/SCI eligibility, and hands-on work with CAs, RAs, and HSMs. Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Python) are required to automate and enforce PKI operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of public/private key cryptography and digital certificates.
• Hands-on experience with certificate authorities, registration authorities, and hardware security modules.
• Experience with PKI tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of X.509, TLS/SSL, OCSP, CRLs.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

PKI Systems Administrator

As a PKI Systems Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the customer’s mission.

• Manage, maintain, and monitor all PKI systems and infrastructure.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Experience may be substituted for education.

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.

• Strong understanding of public/private key cryptography and digital certificates.

• Hands-on experience in managing certificate authorities (CAs), registration authorities (RAs), and hardware security modules (HSMs).

• Experience with PKI tools and technologies.

• Knowledge of industry standards and protocols (e.g., X.509, TLS/SSL, OCSP, CRLs).

• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar).

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
