Job summary

A3T is seeking a PKI Systems Administrator to support a federal government agency and its mission partners. You will install, configure, and administer PKI systems, manage certificates, and handle security-related tasks while ensuring compliance and audit readiness.

The role requires a Secret Clearance and hands-on Linux administration experience. You will perform routine backups, maintain access controls, and support ongoing hardware and software upgrades within a security-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Secret Clearance required.
• Minimum three years experience as a system/application administrator in a Linux environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field or 6 years related experience or vendor certification.
• Baseline IAT Level II certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M (Security+ or higher).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Computing Environment (CE) certification within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure PKI systems, performing ongoing administration (change requests, user account management, access control, configuration management, database maintenance, software upgrades, compromise reporting, backups).
• Execute Certificate Registrations (CRs) per PKI PMO with system/config/app installation and upgrades, host/network interface configuration, CRL publication, replication, and backups.
• Set up user accounts and assign security privileges and access controls; delete security audit logs and archive data; manage passwords/PINs and records for HSM operations; maintain access logs for physical security audits.

Job description

A3T is looking for a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Systems Administrator to support our team in application support, security and administration to a federal government agency and its mission partners.

Job Duties

• Install and configure PKI systems, performing ongoing administration (system change requests, user account management, access control, configuration management, database maintenance, software upgrades, compromise reporting, backups).
• Execute Certificate Registrations (CRs) as per PKI PMO, including:
  • Configure the system
  • Install/update applications
  • Configure host and network interface
  • Perform software upgrades and recovery
  • Ensure publication of CRLs, replication (Daily Checks)
  • Perform system backups
• Perform ad hoc tasks such as:
  • Set up user accounts
  • Assign security privileges and access controls
  • Delete security audit logs and archive data as needed, ensuring logs backed up and reviewed by IAO.
  • Change host or network interface configuration
  • Generate passwords/PINs for keys, operator cards, administrator cards, and security hardware.
  • Administrative tasks for recording passwords and managing PINs for HSM operations.
  • Maintain required access logs for physical security audits.
  • Annual rekey of AES.
  • Produce archive records weekly.
