Job summary

Kforce has a client in Irving, TX seeking a PKI Engineer to administer and maintain enterprise certificate and identity management infrastructure.

You will manage certificate lifecycles, implement encryption and authentication controls, design automated processes, and support cryptographic key management while contributing to security initiatives, risk assessments, and incident response activities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of information security or related field.
• Experience supporting certificate management, identity security, or similar security infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of digital certificates, encryption, authentication, and secure communications.
• Experience managing certificate lifecycle: enrollment, issuance, renewal, revocation.
• Understanding of cryptographic key management concepts and best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with automation, scripting, or process improvement tools.
• Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise certificate and identity management infrastructure
• Manage the full lifecycle of digital certificates, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and replacement for users, devices, applications, and systems
• Implement and support security controls, policies, and standards related to encryption, authentication, and certificate management
• Design and maintain automated processes to streamline certificate administration and security operations
• Support cryptographic key management activities, including key generation, storage, rotation, and retirement
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to certificates, authentication, encryption, and secure communications
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational guidelines
• Participate in security initiatives, risk assessments, incident response activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
