Job summary

Wegmans’ Pizza Department is seeking friendly team members to join our fast-paced, hands-on kitchen. You’ll take and prepare orders, assist customers, and showcase our handcrafted pizzas, calzones, wings, and more with fresh ingredients.

Experience in customer service is valued; we offer on-the-job training, a collaborative team environment, and competitive benefits including PTO, healthcare, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail or food service is preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and operate a register accurately.
• Knowledge of basic food safety practices is a plus.

Experience operating a cash register; Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting; Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, frequent lifting, and occasional heavy lifting, including reaching and lifting above shoulder height, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 40 pounds frequently. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction).The work environment is indoors with exposure to cold (33 – 55 degrees) temperatures and hot equipment (exceeds 135 degrees). Basic tools and equipment used include pizza oven, warming oven, fryer, dough mixer, common cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment.
