Job summary

California Pizza Kitchen is seeking a Pizza Chef to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. You will uphold the highest standards for food quality and sanitation while ensuring timely preparation of pizzas and station recipes.

You will work with the Dough-Pro machine and assist with line checks, prep sheets, and station readiness each shift. A related training period of 3–6 months is expected, and employees enjoy dining discounts, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards for food quality and sanitation.
• Ensure timely preparation of pizzas and station recipes.
• Operate and be proficient with the Dough-Pro machine.
• Support line checks and complete prep par sheets each shift.
• Prepare all necessary items for the station as needed.
• Practice safe and sanitary handling of cutting boards, counters, knives, and equipment.
• Maintain proper temperatures of equipment and perform opening/closing duties.

Job Duties

• Our Pizza Chef maintain the highest standards for food quality and sanitation.
• They assure timely preparation of all pizzas station recipes.
• They are our experts of the "Dough-Pro" machine.
• Our Pizza Chef supports the line checks process and complete prep par sheets every shift.
• They prepare all necessary items for their station as needed.
• They practice and teach safe/sanitary handling of cutting boards, counter tops, knives, and equipment.
• They maintain the proper temperature of equipment and perform station opening/closing and side work duties each shift.

We require three to six months related experience or training.

The current pay range for this position is USD: $16.90 - $20.90.

Various benefits are available for this position if coverage requirements are met, including 401K, health, dental, and disability insurance (state mandated offerings available) through CPK's designated providers.
