Job summary

Pacific University in Oregon is seeking to fill the pitching coach position. The Pitching Coach will play a vital role in the development of the pitching staff while supporting all aspects of a highly competitive Division III baseball program.

This position is designed for an energetic, motivated coach seeking to gain collegiate coaching experience in a student-centered environment. The role focuses on mechanics, velocity development, video analysis, and recruiting prospective student-athletes,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Collegiate playing or coaching experience, preferably as a pitcher or pitching coach.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations or willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for recruiting and team competition.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct daily pitching instruction and bullpen sessions.
• Develop individualized training plans for pitchers focusing on mechanics, command, velocity development, and injury prevention.
• Assist with game preparation, scouting reports, and in-game pitching management.
• Analyze video and performance data to enhance pitcher development.
• Recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA Division III and institutional policies.
• Assist with practice planning, travel logistics, equipment management, and other program operations.
• Mentor student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally.
• Promote a culture of sportsmanship, accountability, and academic success.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Baseball Coach.

Preferred Qualifications

• Collegiate coaching experience.
• Experience with video analysis software (e.g., TrackMan, Rapsodo, Synergy, or similar technology).
• Recruiting experience at the collegiate level.

Pay: Total pay through stipend, camps, recruiting events and other campus pay is roughly $30k. You also can use the facilities for lessons which is not figured into the amount above.
