Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking a Pit Technician to inspect and lubricate vehicles quickly and efficiently. The role emphasizes safe, accurate work and adherence to company values while providing excellent service.

You will perform multi-point inspections, communicate findings to the service team, and maintain a clean, safe work area. Candidates should be able to pass a background check and drug test and be willing to work weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and information.
• Valid drivers license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen.

Responsibilities

• Complete work accurately and quickly while customers remain in their vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspection.
• Advise service consultant/tech for additional work needed.
• Service grease fittings, joints and steering knuckles with grease gun.
• Inspect fluid levels of rear differential and rear axle housings.
• Inspect vehicles for additional repairs needed.
• Demonstrate alignment with company values in interactions.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Job Description

The Pit Technician is responsible for inspecting and lubricating cars in a quick, yet thorough manner for customers in a professional and efficient manner. This position will adhere to and promote the Company mission while operating within the confines of the Company’s core values and contributing to the success of their functional team.

Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Complete work accurately and quickly allowing customers to remain in their vehicles
• Perform multi-point inspection
• Advise service consultant/tech for any additional work needed
• Service grease fittings, universal joints and steering knuckles, using hand or compressed air powered grease gun
• Inspect fluid levels of rear differential and rear axle housings
• Inspect vehicles for additional repairs needed
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company’s vision, mission, and core values in all interaction with customers, co-workers, managers, and suppliers
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending
• At time, exerting 50 - 100 lbs of force occasionally and/or 10 - 25 lbs of force frequently and/or greater than 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects
• Requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials
