Qualifications

Position Summary: Bituminous Roadways, Inc. (BR) is a growing, award-winning, and established union highway/heavy contractor looking for an Asphalt Pit Loader Operator to join our team in Inver Grove Heights. This position plays a crucial role in the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our customers.

Job-Type: Union, Full-time, Seasonal (March-November)

Requirements: All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test. References will also be checked.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain good communication with Plant Operator
  • Maintain incoming common and rubble piles
  • Keep truck flow organized internally
  • Load trucks to capacity (Class V)
  • Be organized and timely
  • Watch for visual changes in material
  • Help lab personnel with samples
  • Help at plant when needed for maintenance
  • Observe plant operations for improvements

Preferred Experience/ Education:

  • Experience operating:
  • Wash plant
  • Back-Hoe
  • Front-end loader
  • Skid steer
  • Minimum of 5 years of gravel pit experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be dependable and flexible
  • Computer skills are a plus
  • Welding experience preferred
