Job summary

SpaceX in Texas seeks a Piping Technician to own and maintain state-of-the-art piping systems for Starlink production. You will install, inspect, and service UPW and wastewater piping, ensuring water quality and uptime for the PCB and packaging plants.

You will read P&IDs, install pumps, valves, and sensors, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while adhering to OSHA, EPA, and SpaceX safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 2+ years of hands-on plumbing/pipefitting experience or an associate's degree in a relevant technical field.
• Experience reading P&IDs, blueprints, and isometric drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, modify, and maintain PVC piping systems for UPW and wastewater treatment.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, isometric drawings to route and install piping.
• Install, align, and maintain pumps, valves, sensors, tanks, and other equipment connected to piping systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to support system uptime.
• Conduct pressure testing, leak checks, and system commissioning on piping runs.
• Collaborate with water treatment technicians, manufacturing, EHS, and engineering teams to optimize layouts and reduce leaks.
• Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and SpaceX safety protocols including LOTO and hot work permitting.
