Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Nashville seeks a Piping/Plumbing Engineer II to design and document piping and plumbing systems for healthcare, laboratory, industrial, and institutional facilities.

You will develop designs from concept through construction with input from users and partners, applying code research and design criteria. Ideal candidates have a BSAE/BSME, 3+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to pursue PE licensure.

Qualifications

• BSAE or BSME required.
• 3+ years of piping/plumbing design experience in healthcare, lab, industrial or institutional facilities.
• PE License or ability to become licensed.
• Experience with engineering design programs (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document system designs from concept plans and design criteria.
• Interpret and utilize basis of design information and inputs from users, partners, surveys, and code research.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver energy-efficient piping/plumbing solutions for facilities.
• Assist in quality checks and design documentation to support construction.
