The successful applicant will coordinate with piping, mechanical, quality, completions, and construction turnover teams, as well as superintendents and subcontractors, to ensure test packages are complete and accurate, testing is performed safely and in accordance with applicable codes, project specifications, and Standard Work Process Procedures, and tested systems are turned over in support of mechanical completion and the construction schedule. #LI-BM1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Independently develop pressure test packages for assigned systems, including test boundaries, marked-up isometrics and P&IDs, test pressures and media, line lists, weld and NDE status, and required inspection hold points.
  • Perform technical reviews of test packages prepared by subcontractors for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements before submittal to the Lead Pipe Testing Field Engineer.
  • Develop the area testing sequence and look-ahead schedule in alignment with system turnover boundaries and the construction and mechanical completion schedules.
  • Support the Lead Pipe Testing Field Engineer in maintaining and improving the project pipe testing program in accordance with SWPP 4MP-T81-03506, Pressure Testing of Piping, Tubing and Components, project specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Prepare and verify stored energy and exclusion zone calculations for pneumatic tests and confirm required approvals and safety controls are in place before testing.
  • Coordinate area readiness walkdowns to verify completion of welding, NDE, PWHT, supports, and punch items, and follow up on closure of open items with craft, Quality Control, and subcontractors.
  • Plan test equipment needs for the area, including test pumps, calibrated gauges and recorders, relief devices, blinds, temporary spools, and test manifolds.
  • Coordinate test water sourcing, quality, and disposal, and post-test draining, drying, flushing, and cleaning to prevent corrosion and MIC.
  • Coordinate test witnessing and sign-off with Quality Control, the Authorized Inspector, and the client, and resolve test failures, leaks, and repairs with craft and engineering.
