Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a Piping Field Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN to provide field engineering and construction support for complex industrial and nuclear projects. The role interfaces with engineering, construction, craft personnel, subcontractors, and project management to ensure safe, efficient piping system installation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with piping/construction experience.
• Experience reading piping drawings, specifications and documents.
• Journeyman pipefitting or equivalent piping craft experience.
• Experience coordinating with engineering, construction supervision, pipefitters, welders, and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with ASME piping requirements.
• Experience with CAD, Bluebeam and Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Provide field engineering support for piping fabrication, installation, testing, and turnover.
• Review and interpret piping drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Perform field walkdowns and support piping layout, routing, supports, and constructability.
• Coordinate with engineering and craft personnel to resolve field installation issues.
• Support material takeoffs, quantity calculations, material tracking, and construction planning.
• Monitor installation activities for compliance with engineering, quality, safety, and project requirements.
• Support field inspections, troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, and system turnover.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to support schedule and field execution.
