Job summary

Saipem is seeking a Piping Draftsman for the MMO Malembo project. You will generate 3D pipeline models and precise 2D drawings for brownfield modifications and tie-ins, supporting offshore scopes.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in oil & gas, strong 2D/3D software skills (AutoCAD, E3D, PDMS, SP3D) and the ability to read complex drawings and specs. This 12-month contract offers health insurance and collaboration with a global team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in oil & gas, preferably brownfield MMO contracts or offshore platforms.
• High proficiency in 2D and 3D design software (AutoCAD, E3D, PDMS, or SmartPlant 3D).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, material specifications, and technical data sheets

Responsibilities

• Draft and model 3D pipeline models; create precise 2D drawings for brownfield modifications.
• Produce detailed shop fabrication drawings, piping isometrics, layouts, and P&IDs based on site sketches or notes.
• Incorporate IDC feedback and coordinate with clients, yards, and inspectors on document updates.
• Verify baseline project information against site developments and flag discrepancies to the design team.
• Report progress to the Piping & Layout Lead and collaborate with draftsmen and engineers

Job Title: Piping Draftsman

Job Description:

• Drafting & Modeling: Generate 3D pipeline models and precise 2D drafting outputs for brownfield modifications, piping tie-ins, and layouts.
• Drawing Production: Create detailed shop fabrication drawings, piping isometrics, equipment layouts, and P&IDs based on site inspection sketches or engineering notes.
• Cross-Discipline Alignment: Incorporate feedback from Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC) or external stakeholders like clients, yards, and third-party inspectors to update engineering documents.
• Input Verification: Constantly check that the baseline project information and input data remain current with ongoing site developments, alerting the design team to discrepancies.
• Reporting & Collaboration: Report progress on a continuous basis to the Piping & Layout Lead while communicating smoothly with fellow draftsmen and design engineers.

What are we looking for?

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with explicit experience in brownfield MMO contracts or shallow-water offshore platforms.
• Technical Mastery: High proficiency in 2D and 3D design software (such as AutoCAD, E3D, PDMS, or SmartPlant 3D depending on the specific asset system).
• Site Awareness: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, material specifications, and technical data sheets
