Job summary
Worley Group in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Piping Designer Level I to deliver piping design services and support project teams. You will develop 3D models, layouts, isometrics, and participate in design reviews while coordinating with engineers, procurement, and construction staff.
On-site position with potential travel and a salary hourly range. Requirements include 1–3 years of piping design experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, SP3D, or
Qualifications
- Proficient in piping design fundamentals and drafting practices.
- Experience with industry codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong piping design software skills including the listed tools.
- Experience in refining, petrochemical, oil and gas sectors.
- 1–3 years of piping design experience; on-site/refinery preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver piping design services meeting project specs on time and within budget.
- Prepare piping design deliverables per project requirements and standards.
- Develop 3D models, layouts, equipment arrangements, and isometrics.
- Attend meetings, provide progress updates, and perform design checks.
- Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines for design integration.
- Support procurement, construction and commissioning with design deliverables.
- Assist and mentor junior designers as required.
