Job summary

Fervo Energy Company is seeking a senior Piping Designer to lead the detailed design of large-diameter brine and process piping for geothermal projects in the U.S. You will produce isometrics, routing layouts, and deliver complete design packages for cross-disciplinary teams.

The role requires 7+ years of industrial piping experience, proficiency in Plant3D/PDMS/AutoCAD, and strong coordination with EPC partners to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Piping Design, Engineering Technology, or related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of piping design experience in power generation, geothermal, oil and gas, or industrial environments.
• Experience with large-diameter piping systems (6-inch and above).
• Proficiency in Plant3D, PDMS, or AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated ability to produce complete piping design packages independently.

Responsibilities

Fervo is scaling rapidly across the U.S. to meet growing demand from utilities, industrials, and data centers for clean, dispatchable electricity.

Fervo's geothermal power plants rely on complex brine and process piping systems to move high-temperature fluid from wells to power conversion equipment and back. The Piping Designer is responsible for the detailed design of these systems -- including large-diameter brine routing, piping layout, and isometric drawing production -- supporting Fervo's active project deployments and EPC coordination.

This is a senior individual contributor role for an experienced piping designer who has routed large-diameter systems in industrial or power generation environments. You will own piping design deliverables for plant piping systems -- developing routing solutions, producing isometrics, and coordinating with civil, mechanical, and process engineers to deliver complete, constructable design packages.

Brine systems present unique routing challenges: large pipe diameters, high temperatures, site constraints, and the need for creative, cost-effective solutions. This role is for someone who has solved these problems before and brings the experience and judgment to do it again in a fast-moving environment with limited margin for rework.

The right candidate works independently, interfaces with EPC partners effectively, and helps develop internal standards.
