Job summary

Entegee is seeking an engineer with BS in engineering and strong AutoCAD skills to support gas design projects. The role involves drafting P&IDs, layouts, and isometrics, and requires coordination with engineers, vendors, and project teams.

Field verification and adherence to change control are essential. Knowledge of LNG operations and relevant codes is preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS degree in engineering required.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and collaboration across project phases.
• Certifications with ADDA, Autodesk, or SolidWorks.
• Prior gas design experience and knowledge of gas equipment.
• Familiarity with Federal DOT, MA state codes, and industry standards.
• Understanding LNG plant operations and maintenance functions.
• Experience with CADWorx and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD to prepare and revise P&IDs, layouts, plans and isometrics.
• Draw finished designs from sketches; create and revise drawings.
• Maintain organized drawing file system and naming conventions.
• Convert legacy formats to a consistent standard.
• Perform site visits and field verification for accuracy.
• Prepare minor civil drawings for foundations and buildings.
• Coordinate with engineers, teams, and vendors for accurate representations.
• Follow Management of Change processes to align drawings with projects.

Job description

• ABET accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline is required. Position aligns closest to mechanical, civil, chemical, or similar engineering discipline.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficient communication skills and ability to collaborate across all phases of a project.
• Certifications: American Design Drafting Association (ADDA), Autodesk, and/or SolidWorks.
• Prior gas design experience and knowledge of gas equipment.
• Knowledge of relevant codes/standards (e.g., Federal DOT, Massachusetts state codes, applicable industry standards).
• Understanding of LNG plant operations and maintenance functions.
• Experience with CADWorx and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D.

Responsibilities:

• Use AutoCAD to prepare and revise P&IDs, general layouts, plans and profiles, fabrication drawings, isometrics, and pipe support details.
• Draw finished designs from sketches/redlines; create and revise detail, assembly, and general arrangement drawings.
• Set up and maintain an organized file system and drawing database with standardized naming conventions.
• Convert legacy formats (e.g., Visio, AutoCAD LT) to a consistent, singular standard.
• Perform site visits and field verification to confirm drawing accuracy.
• Prepare minor civil drawings for equipment foundations and buildings.
• Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and vendors to ensure accurate electronic representation and updated vendor resources.
• Follow Management of Change processes to keep drawings aligned with capital projects and modifications.
